International Forum for the Study of Itch (IFSI)
Our mission is to advance itch-related research and education and to promote treatment and clinical efforts to help alleviate this debilitating symptom. Our main goal is to create an active society that will contribute to the study of Itch. IFSI also distributes recent information about pruritus research and developments by newsletters to its members, the international medical community and the public at large through various media. IFSI conducts international meetings every second year (World Congress of Itch, WCI) where researchers present the latest findings in the field. The official Journal of the IFSI is the Itch, an open-access journal. IFSI supports the publication of high quality papers in Itch, which is currently offering waivers of publication fees for submitted articles.

Invitation for the 1st Global SIG Day on November 17th 2019
The International Forum for the Study of Itch (IFSI) is holding their biennial event, the World Congress on Itch, from November 17th-19th, 2019 in Sydney, Australia. Researchers from all over the world will be presenting the latest findings here in the field, ranging from research to terminology. As you and your company have made valuable contributions to itch research, we would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend its 1st Global Special Interest Group (SIG) Day.
SIGs are expert-led groups that guide members to connect and collaborate with colleagues who have shared interests. Endpoint validations for clinical trials, the proper definition of entities and updates on current guidelines, among others, are still young but continuously growing areas of pruritus medicine that attract global experts. Each SIG has an area of focus on which its activities are based. At the 1st Global SIG Day, various areas of focus will be shared, including itch in systemic diseases and itch questionnaires.
We would like to share the current developments with you and also hear from the industry’s point of view. We thus invite you to participate in this session. Although participation is normally limited to IFSI members, registration is offered at a reasonable cost to members of the industry. Registration for 1 industry member costs 445$AUD and entry for 3 industry members costs 1,112$AUD. For 2,225$AUD, an unlimited number of colleagues may be registered.
